Ms Auriel M Poole
Waldorf -inspired Nanny and Home Childcarer ;
My previous work experience with children, has ranged from the volunteering abroad, for three months, to volunteering as a parent within my daughters school, where necessary; Then to part-time and then full time kindergarten assistant for over half a year, gaining valuable experience and insight into the collaboration, rhythm, ethos and care provided to the children, within this wonderfully, caring, holistic Waldorf-kindergarten and early years environment. I later worked as a Teaching Assistant for the following year, within this same school environment, as it's form changed ,and evolved,...so then did my working role, working with a range of children with a variety of educational, social and emotional needs,. learning how to best support each unique child's needs within their learning environment and classroom. At the completion of this year, I chose to resign in order to continue my work more specifically within the early year's sector.  I felt really fortunate to be working closely with a wonderful 'early years staff team', within a private local Nursery in Frome, for the following eighteen months, where the holistic, creative, fun and caring environment inspired me further. In turn, this has inspired me to making the new step' into my current work position now as a Waldorf-inspired Nanny; where I work primarily with children from one- to seven yrs old. Please contact me on the email below, if you are interested in hearing more about what I could offer to you and to your child. With many kind thanks.

My Child Care ethos'.
Auriel's Nannying work.
I have been so lucky to experience an all-through Waldorf-Steiner school learning environment, through to the completion of my A levels, with many artistic & musical achievements alongside this, and then onto further education ,college and University. After a three -month significant volunteering experience for me, with the 'Moroccan Children's Trust, and 'Groupe Maroc Horizons', from January - April 2008, in Taroudant, the South of Morocco, speaking French and learning some local Moroccan Arabic, I realized my passion for supporting children was a life long wish, and one that I would like to hone into a life-long career. I then chose to change my studies from my Fine Art degree- to my 'Homecare Child Practitioners course, level three. This has led onto my further childcare studies, with the 'Waldorf Online Certificate course, in Early Childhood Education, with the Sophia Institute', based in Washington DC. This online degree course continues to inspire and challenge me in every way possible,..helping me to grow as an 'early year's practitioner, alongside mothering & raising my three wonderful daughters ; my three beautiful children, continue to inspire in me, my creative, empathic, nurturing and reflective work; while supporting and enabling their confidence to grow, in this wonderful and slightly tired world of ours. The precious role of wonder, awe, and giving new things' a go, seems ever more prevalent now then ever before,..and to foster their and every child's innate sense of well being, creativity, inner strengths and qualities, to meet the growing needs of the world as we find it, today. I believe in establishing playful routines with young children,  the important role of love, humour and care,...and the need for allowing a child to express themselves artistically, physically, emotionally, spiritually, socially, and educationally, in their own unique learning styles. As a nanny, I enjoy working closely with the needs of the family, the parents, and the child, so there is this sense of holistic holding
, nurturing care, and the child I find then feels secure, and well supported emotionally within our childcare arrangement. I listen very much to the needs of the family who I am working with, and I try to embody this as I work with them to nurture their precious child.

What I can offer;
I can offer a personal- child care arrangement to support your growing child and to build a routine which best fits for your family's needs on a practical and useful basis.  I will do my best to support and to encourage their growth in the three prime areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage, with their communication and Language, personal and physical, Social and emotional development. The other four areas of learning, which make up to these seven areas of learning as a whole,...Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding of the world, and Expressive Arts and Design, form part of their learning journey also while they are in my care, ; I also nurture the child's connection to the time of the year, the seasons, special festivals, musical rhymes and nursery songs which I find that children really respond to happily, and enjoy singing along, and playing to, walking,..or role-playing with, time and again. The spiritual joy of life, and the child's learning is something to be carefully nurtured and encouraged to grow in a healthy, and wholesome manner.

A current parent's feedback ;
"My daughter looks forward to seeing Auriel. She comes home content and confident after spending time at Auriel's house.
I find Auriel's authenticity refreshing ; She is as she presents herself, without facade.
With Auriel, emotions are accepted, and integrated. Even when there is a lot going on around her, Auriel maintains a dignified and careful way of doing things. Auriel has brought up three wonderful daughters, who are approaching their term years ".
